About Grosvenor Lodge

Arranged over 3 floors and with capacity for up to 31 residents, Grosvenor Lodge strikes a balance between spacious and homely. It is equipped to provide the highest standards of dementia care in Hove, and staff are trained not only to cater for a variety of mental and physical needs, but also to make life as full as possible for each and every resident.

Bedrooms are light, airy and modern, with large LCD wall mounted televisions, and each of the three lounges have their own special features, including live pets, a sweet cart, a reminiscence room and a meeting area.

Hallways are zoned to aid orientation around the home, and a beautiful, secure garden is the perfect place for residents and visitors to enjoy a sunny day outside.

Rooms

It’s our priority to make sure residents feel completely at home, so plenty of thought and care has gone into the design and decoration of each and every bedroom at Grosvenor Lodge. Comprised of 29 singles and one double, all bedrooms are spacious with good sized en-suits, several with their very own wet room.

Our comfortable accommodation is tastefully decorated, and designed to allow our staff to provide high standards of care. Wall mounted LCD TV’s are installed in each room, meaning that residents always have the option to enjoy a quiet afternoon of television in the comfort of their own rooms.

Health Care

It goes without saying that health care is a very important part of life at Grosvenor Lodge, with a variety of medical needs being catered for every day. We’re proud to have an excellent relationship with local health care providers, including a network of supportive GP’s, who work with us to give us everything we need to look after our residents.

We also regularly welcome Brighton and Hove in-reach team, consisting of specialist dementia care nurses and occupational therapists. These wonderful people provide valuable advice and support to staff, residents, and families, ensuring every question is answered with knowledge and compassion.

Catering

Meal times are hugely important at Grosvenor Lodge, and we make it a priority to consistently support and encourage our residents to eat and drink well. Nutritious, varied meal options are created every day by our talented chef, which means there’s always something tasty to look forward to. Two options are offered at each meal, but alternatives can always be created for residents who fancy something different.

We understand that many of our residents have special dietary requirements, and we ensure these are always catered for.

Activities

Residents choose how to spend their day, and there’s a wide range of activities available to them, including singing, films, exercises, arts and crafts, and themed events. Reminiscence sessions are held to encourage residents to remember their pasts, and meaningful activities like assisting with cooking and cleaning can really help towards a sense of purpose. There’s a games room for those more competitive too!

Outings and walks are regularly arranged, and we always make them interesting as well as fun.

Grosvenor Lodge was last inspected by the Care Quality Commisson (CQC) in August 2019. The summary of findings were:

Visitors

Grosvenor Lodge operates an open door policy, which means friends and relatives are welcome to visit at any time. We believe in making life for the residents as free as possible, which means receiving visitors when it suits them, just as they would at home.

About Hove

Located immediately west of Brighton, Hove sits on the South Coast of England, and forms the City of Brighton and Hove with it’s larger neighbour. Not only does it provide easy access to the seafront, but it also boasts a great mix of shops and restaurants.
